Wounds with Alex & Natalie -- EP 12
“Our wounds are the radar for others” Wounds. We all got them to some degree. But as painful as it can be to begin that healing journey, it can also be where the gold lies. Our wounds can educate us and make us more empathic to what others are going through. This episode we get into wounds being an unfinished experience within your body or your overall being. If we’re unable to identify and heal our wounds, we’re going to be coming from a state of reactivity instead of empathy in our everyday interactions. We might not be aware of how much our wounding is informing our relationships and our life. Spoiler Alert: You might be the “bad guy” in some of your stories. Join Natalie and Alex as they get into the importance of courage, safety, patience (divine timing), and the compassion that is needed on our nonlinear healing journeys. Don’t worry, as serious as the topic is, in typical Huffing Spirit fashion, we still have some fun and make some jokes along the way. Homework: Imagine yourself as almost a therapist or someone you view as spacious and can listen from a place of non-reactivity. Visualize and identify a part of you that is stopping you in some way. Put 5 minutes on the timer. Sit quietly and start a compassionate inner dialogue with that aspect of yourself as that therapist or guide. Notice what comes up. What was revealed in this exchange? How does it feel in the body? Try this 3-4 times a week and let us know what you got out of it.
